The goal of this design is to create a new community of Students and young adults among the existing neighborhood. This design is about keeping the identity of the neighborhood and inventing a new community among the middle ground, raising population density while fostering social capital such as community and connections. The alley would be a new front avenue of activity and opportunities for different scales of interactions, providing Portland with denser housing and unique opportunities for ownership.
